§ Mr. McGuireasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many houses have been built, are under construction, or are planned to be built, by local authorities to house workers and their families who have been redeployed.
§ Mr. MellishWhile this is one of the factors which has to be morne in mind when local authorities' housing programmes are being fixed, authorities do not normally earmark the houses they build for specific purposes and the information is not therefore available. There are, however, special arrangements for coal miners for whom local authorities in England and Wales built 5,100 houses in the four years 1963–66.
