§ Mr. Biffenasked the President of the Board of Trade how many representations he has received on the price of marbles during the periods of standstill and severe restraint; what action was taken by his Department; and what was the estimated total cost of such action.
§ Mr. JayI received one such complaint, which was investigated through the usual Departmental procedure. There was no breach, but an error in the wholesalers' costing department, and in consequence, the price of the marbles concerned was corrected. I estimate the cost of this action to be £3 10s.
