§ 56. Mr. Ellisasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what is his estimate of the total benefit to individual ratepayers in the City of Bristol as a result of the Rating Act, 1966; and how this compares with the benefit received under the Rating (Interim Relief) Act, 1964.
§ Mr. MacCollUnder the Rating Act, 1966, rate rebates in Bristol in 1966–67, the first full year of the scheme, amounted to about £123,000. Under the Rating (Interim Relief) Act, 1964, the total amount of rate relief for individual ratepayers for the whole of the three years 1964–65 to 1966–67 was £1,168.
