§ Mr. G. Campbellasked the Minister of Transport what consideration she is giving to the proposal for a rail link between Aviemore and Grantown-on-Spey, which was contained in the report of the technical group on the Cairngorm area.
§ Mr. John MorrisThe need for such a rail service was taken into account by my right hon. Friend's predecessor when he gave his consent to the withdrawal of passenger services between Aviemore and Forres in March, 1965. If there were a strong local case for the restoration of the service, we would expect to receive a recommendation to that effect from the Economic Planning Council.
