§ 68. Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for Defence what he estimates the total additional annual cost would be, to 264W reward World War I holders of the Military Medal, in a similar manner to the recognition already given to World War II recipients.
§ Mr. BoydenMy Department has estimated that the annual cost of paying an additional sixpence a day to the pensions of surviving holders of the Military Medal from World War I would be £156,000. There would also need to be a single payment of £600,000, to pay the £20 gratuity to those survivors who do not have a pension.
