§ Mr. Edward ShortPrivately owned facsimile equipments can, subject to certain technical safeguards, already be attached to telephones. A market survey is in progress to assess the potential demand for this form of communication. Consideration will be given to the possible introduction of a Post Office facsimile service in the light of the demand disclosed.
