§ Mr. CallaghanThe Selective Employment Tax has raised a substantial amount of revenue and made a significant contribution to the restraint of home demand during the past year. Premiums are now being paid to manufacturing industry and repayments in other cases. It is too early to make any precise estimates of its effects.
