Earl of Dalkeithasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many of the military personnel to be brought back from Germany and Malta to the United Kingdom are to be accommodated in Scotland; and whether he will consult the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Scottish Tourist Board, as well as other interested parties. to ensure that temporary camps are so situated and planned that they can at a later date be converted to tourist holiday camps.

Accommodation must be provided at or near existing military sites; but my right hon. Friend will certainly bear in mind the hon. Member's suggestion.
