Mr. Hooley

asked the Minister of Social Security if she will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the social security benefits for which some test of means is applied as a condition of payment.

Miss Herbison

Tests of means are applied for my Department for the following social security benefits:

  1. 1. Supplementary Benefit (including repayment of National Health Service charges) under the Ministry of Social Security Act 1966.
  2. 2. Accommodation and pocket money provided under the Polish Resettlement Act 1947.

In addition resources are taken into account in considering claims for certain war pensions dependants' benefits.
