HC Deb 02 March 1967 vol 742 c141W
Mr. Bidwell

asked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs on how many occasions since 20th July he has refused to make an Order to prevent wage or salary increases.

Mr. Frederick Lee

The Government have made no more Orders under Part IV of the Prices and Incomes Act than have been necessary to ensure that the policy for the standstill and severe restraint are not undermined by the actions of a few.
