§ 67. Mr. Brewisasked the Postmaster-General how long the two public telephones in the kiosks outside Sadler's Wells Theatre have been out of order through vandalism.
§ Mr. Edward ShortThe coin box telephones in these kiosks were damaged and repaired twelve times in the twelve months up to September 1965, when they were damaged beyond repair for normal use. As other kiosks are available within 200 yards, the two outside the theatre were put in order for emergency calls only.
Full service will be restored when strengthened boxes, now in production, are in plentiful supply. At present, priority is being given to damaged kiosks with no other nearby.
