§ Mr. HealeyThe programme referred to in the Statement on the Defence Estimates are proceeding satisfactorily. These include an extension of the Fleet Submarine programme, the introduction of two new anti-submarine helicopters, a new maritime reconnaissance aircraft and a variety of anti-submarine weapons, as well as research into underwater torpedo and noise reduction problems. About 20 per cent. of all naval R and D effort is devoted to anti-submarine warfare.
