§ 120. Mr. Berryasked the Minister of Transport what investigations are being held into providing facilities for mass transit between Stansted Airport and London; and when she expects to be able to announce details of these facilities.
§ Mr. John MorrisThe Department was consulted throughout the examination of possible sites for the Third London Airport and, with British Rail, established that a rail link from Stansted to London would be feasible at a cost of about £5 million. We plan that the M11 will be available by the early 1970s.
We will be studying further, with the other interests concerned, how and when mass transit facilities should be provided. I cannot say when these studies will be complete.
