§ Mr. MacDermotI received a deputation from the National Union of Bank Employees on 6th June and took note of their representations about the closure of banks on Saturdays. My right hon. Friend will give full consideration to these representations and to the views of the banks on the recommendations about opening hours in the recent Report of the National Board for Prices and Incomes on Bank Charges.
