§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the average weekly earnings, before and after overtime, of the staff of the House of Commons for which the Services Committee have responsibility.
§ Mr. CrossmanAll full-time staff of the House of Commons are paid monthly, but the following staff are linked to a Civil Service weekly paid grade.

§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Lord President of the Council whether, in order to facilitate further modernisation of the House, he will ask the Services Committee to take immediate steps to improve the pay, conditions and number of the staff of the Commons.
§ Mr. CrossmanI fully appreciate the importance of this matter, and the question of pay and working conditions of the staff of the House is kept constantly under review by the Services Committee.
