Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer by how much the United Kingdom balance of payments will be adversely affected by the current estimated £2 per ton extra for the costs involved in importing oil as a result of the Middle East difficulties, calculated on the basis of the actual oil imports for the year ended December, 1966 and the anticipated oil imports for the year ending December, 1967.
