Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister of Power whether he will take whatever action may be necessary to, ensure that, in the future, all Members of Parliament, including those with 20 or more years membership of the House of Commons, are given equal opportunity with Members who have recently entered the House of Commons of attending cocktail parties and receptions organised by his Department.

It depends what the function is for, and I should normally invite those having a special interest or concern. Ministry of Power cocktail parties are infrequent.
