§ 70. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what was the estimated amount of foreign currency earned in 1966 by this country through the provision of full-time education in the United Kingdom to overseas students.
§ Mr. Goronwy RobertsThe estimated receipts of overseas sterling and non-sterling currency in 1965–66 in respect of overseas students at U.K. universities or on full-time and sandwich courses of higher education at institutions of further education were some £18 million. About £7 million of this was in non-sterling currency.
