Grants and guarantees made to theatres and drama groups in Scotland by the Arts Council's Scottish Committee in 1965–66 totalled £87,150. In addition, a grant of £30,000 was made to the Edinburgh Festival. This represents an increase of some 37 per cent. over the comparable figure for the previous year.
