§ Mr. Woodasked the Minister of Overseas Development if he will state the percentages of national income, during the financial years 1964–65 and 1965–66, represented by Government aid to developing countries and by the new long-term movement of private capital to those countries, in accordance with the criteria agreed at the 1964 U.N.C.T.A.O. Conference, and the totals of national income, Government aid and private capital to which these percentages relate.
§ Mr. BottomleyEstimates of private investment, export credits and the national income are only available on the basis of calendar years. The information asked 263W for in respect of 1964 and 1965 is contained in the table below. Figures for 1966 are not yet available. The percentages given in line 7 of the table represent British performance in relation to the U.N.C.T.A.D. 1 per cent. target.
