§ Mr. Haleasked the Minister of Labour (1) what is the number of persons in full-time employment in cotton and manmade fibre spinning and doubling at the most recent date for which figures are available; and how this compares with the corresponding date in the previous year;
(2) what is the number of persons in full-time employment in cotton and manmade fibre weaving at the most recent date for which figures are available; and how this compares with the corresponding date in the previous year.
§ Mr. HattersleyMonthly estimates of the numbers of employees in these industries in Great Britain are made and are published regularly in theMinistry of Labour Gazette. They include all employees, whether they work full-time or part-time. Quarterly estimates are also made of the numbers of females employed part-time in manufacturing industries. The latest estimates for both total employees and females employed part-time relate to December, 1966.
