HC Deb 08 February 1967 vol 740 c332W
Mr. Wall

asked the Minister of Overseas Development what loans, grants or credits have been made to the Government of the United Arab Republic since October 1961; and what loans, grants or credits are now under discussion.

Mr. Bottomley

Government loans and credits totalling £4,290,000 have been made to the United Arab Republic since October, 1961. There have been no grants of financial aid.

No Government loans, grants or credits are currently under discussion. A U.A.R. economic delegation which is at present in London for talks with the Export Credits Guarantee Department is discussing the settlement of Egyptian commercial debts insured with that Department.
