§ 64. Mr. Godberasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what has been the cost of implementing the price guarantees under the Irish Free Trade Agreement for the calendar year 1966 on beef carcase meat and mutton and lamb carcase meat, respectively.
§ Mr. PeartThe estimated cost for the period from 1st July 1966 (when the Anglo-Irish Free Trade Area Agreement 105W came into force) to 25th March, 1967 (the end of the fatstock year) is as follows:
Beef £832,000 Lamb £202,000 £1,034,000 The amounts of carcase beef and carcase lamb to which payments will apply have been imported from the Irish Republic, but the actual cost cannot be determined until the average guarantee payments for the fatstock year 1966/67 have been ascertained.
