HC Deb 21 December 1967 vol 756 cc540-1W
Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the Minister of Transport what will be the position of the Stranraer—Larne Ferry under the proposed Transport Bill; whether this service will be under Scottish management; and whether any profits will be credited to the Scottish Transport Group.

Mr. Carmichael:

The position of the Stranraer—Larne Ferry will be unaffected by the Transport Bill, and the Railways Board inform me that there are no proposals for changing the operational control of this service which is at present exercised from Stranraer. The financial results of the service will continue to be reflected in the Railways Board's accounts.
