HC Deb 21 December 1967 vol 756 c509W
54. Sir Knox Cunningham

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and it he is satisfied with the accuracy of the return made to him under Article 13 of the Horses (Sea Transport) Order, 1952, namely that two ponies died as a result of very bad weather during the crossing completed cm 28th July, 1967 from Great Yarmouth to Scheveningen, Holland; and if he will state the weather conditions for the relevant area during the relevant period.

Mr. Hoy:

I have made inquiries of the shipping company. The ship's log records that at the material time there was a rather big swell. I have no reason to doubt the attribution of the deaths of the two ponies to weather conditions.
