Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish a list showing how the £4 million for road schemes in the forthcoming winter is being distributed.

Mr. Ross:

The allocations of grant to highway authorities in respect of principal and other roads, for improvements and maintenance, respectively, are set out in the following list. These total £4,825,896, of which £4 million is expected to fall due in the course of the current financial year and the balance early in 1968–69.
