§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will direct public and semi-public organisations for which he is responsible not to accept excessive contingency or alleged contingency increases in medium- or long-term contracts.
§ Mr. Darling:I do not know of any such excessive increases. If my hon. Friend has particular cases in mind I am prepared to look into them though, in the case of the nationalised industries, it is not Government policy to intervene in detailed commercial matters of this sort.
