§ 85. Mr. Eadieasked the President of the Board of Trade what progress has been made towards having indigenous supplies of sulphur.
§ Mr. Darling:Sulphur in the form of ammonium sulphate and other by-products is already recovered from gas works and coke oven plants. The Central Electricity Generating Board have been following a promising line of research into the recovery of sulphur from flue gases and are considering the building of a pilot plant in a power station in the North East to carry out full scale tests.
