§ Mr. Channonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government when he proposes to make a decision about the Southend development plan; whether he is aware that several years have now elapsed without a decision; and what points remain outstanding.
§ Mr. MacDermot:A letter setting out the Minister's proposed modifications to the plan was sent to the Council on 16th May, 1967. Southend's policy on contributions by developers towards the provision of car parks is the final point under review. My right hon. Friend will be able to issue a decision on the development plan as soon as this question is resolved.
