§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs what steps he is taking to strengthen the National Board for Prices and Incomes to enable it to scrutinise more widely and critically than hitherto increased prices and dividends.
§ Mr. Frederick Lee:The Government continue to attach great importance to the work of the National Board for Prices and Incomes in the examination of matters relating to the productivity prices and incomes policy. The appointments made by my right hon. Friend and his predecessor this year have resulted in a net increase in the membership which now stands at 12. Further appointments will be made as necessary.
