Mr. Clifford Williamsasked the Attorney-General, in cases of dispute between ground landlord and the lessee as to the amount of the purchase price for the freehold to be decided by the lands tribunal, if he will consider the extension of legal aid facilities to tribunals such as the Land Tribunal.
§ The Attorney-General:My noble Friend the Lord Chancellor has referred to the Advisory Committee set up under the provisions of Section 13 of the Legal Aid and Advice Act, 1949, the question of the tribunals to which legal aid should be extended when financial circumstances permit, and what priority this should have, both as between individual tribunals, and as compared with other 383W extensions of the Legal Aid and Advice schemes. In considering these matters, the Committee will take account of the need for legal aid in the cases my hon. schools.
