238WThe volume of traffic in Brecon, like that in many other towns in Wales, has increased considerably in recent years. I have included a by-pass south of Brecon with a spur to the east of the town in the programme for the years after 1970, described in Chapter IV of the White Paper "Wales: The Way Ahead".
It will not be possible to build these roads before 1970 but they will be brought into the programme as soon as resources allow.
