HC Deb 12 December 1967 vol 756 cc122-3W
Mr. Baker

asked the Minister of Transport how many licences for commercial road vehicles of over 30 hundredweight unladen weight have been issued in Scotland in each of the past five years.

Mr. John Morris

At the full censuses taken in the third quarters of 1960 and 1966 the number of general goods vehicles over 1½ tons unladen weight with current excise licences was 56,830 and 59,848 respectively. Comparable figures are not readily available for the intermediate years when only sample censuses were taken.
