HC Deb 12 December 1967 vol 756 c78W
34. Mr. Palmer

asked the Minister of Power if he will make a statement on the total amount of electrical generating capacity likely to be available in practice in relation to maximum possible demand under severe conditions in the coming winter months of December, January and February.

Mr. Marsh

The C.E.G.B. estimate that their plant capacity available this winter will be 37,000 MW, and that maximum demand in average cold spells will be 36,000 MW.
