§ Mr. RossSince 30th September, 1964, when the Fishery Limits Act 1964 came into force extending the British fishery 117W limits, 14 foreign fishing vessels have been arrested for illegal fishing within the limits off the Scottish coast. All were prosecuted and a conviction was obtained in each case. The fines imposed ranged from £50 to £250, the average being £179, and in six cases the catch and fishing gear were forfeited also.
