Mr. Bishop

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether, in view of the expected higher cost of the F111 aircraft, he will negotiate for correspondingly a higher offset from the United States of America in the purchase of United Kingdom equipment.

Mr. Mason

This is a matter for discussion with the United States Government which my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence is considering.
