§ Mr. Goodhewasked the Minister of Health (1) if, in relation to his recent review of pay-beds, he will state for each hospital concerned the percentage occupancy by private patients during the last year, the recommendations of the medical committee of each hospital regarding future numbers of private beds, the recommendations of the appropriate hospital management committees regarding future 3W numbers of private beds, the recommendations of regional hospital boards to his department, and the numbers finally authorised by his Department;
(2) if, in relation to his recent review of pay-beds, he will state for each teaching hospital concerned the recommendations of the medical committee regarding future numbers of private beds, the recommendations of the board of governors of each teaching hospital where these differed from those of the medical committee, and the numbers of private beds finally authorised by his Department.
§ Mr. K. Robinson:The information requested is not available centrally and as nearly 900 hospitals are concerned its collection would involve a disproportionate cost.
