§ Mr. DarlingExtraction of the figures in the form asked for would entail a disproportionate amount of work. Industrial development certificates approved in the employment exchange areas—Heywood, Littleborough, Royton and Shaw—approximating most nearly to the towns mentioned, from 1st January, 1960, to end of March, 1967, were 38, compared with 795 in the Merseyside Development Area, 2,682 in the North Western Region, 4,256 in all the development areas as defined under the Industrial Development Act, 1966, and 20,093 in Great Britain.
