§ 40. Mr. Palmerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will schedule the public memorial to the poet Thomas Chatterton, at Redcliffe, Bristol, for preservation.
§ Mr. MacCollI understand that a Faculty for the removal of the monument has been granted by the Consistory Court, and that the figure of the poet is to be offered to the Bristol Museum. My right hon. Friend does not think this is a case in which he would be justified in making a Building Preservation Order.
