§ Mr. Macdonaldasked the Minister of Health how many existing members of hospital management committees were appointed on the recommendation of trade unions or local trades councils; and what proportion this bears to the total number of members now serving on such committees.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonSuch information is not normally collected centrally. A special inquiry in 1964 showed that 295 15W out of 6,280 members of hospital management committees, i.e. 4.7 per cent., had been appointed on the recommendation of trades unions or of local federations of trades councils.
