asked the President of the Board of Trade what has been the number and the tonnage of British ships transferred to the flags of Liberia, Panama and Honduras, in each of the last 10 years.

The number and gross tonnage of British sea-going merchant vessels of 500 gross tons and over transferred in each of the last ten years to the flags of Liberia, Panama and Honduras on change of ownership were as follows:—

1,050 staff in Investment Grants Offices and some further 300 staff transferred from the Ministry of Aviation.

Further increases of the order of 350 and 50 in the Board of Trade and in the Export Credits Guarantee Department respectively are expected by 15th October, 1967.
