§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science, what he is doing to implement the Report of the Bosworth Committee.
§ Mr. CroslandMy Department, in consultation with the Ministry of Technology, has sponsored two studies to test the feasibility of courses jointly planned by educationalists and industry on the lines recommended in the Report. These relate to semiconductor device technology, and electrical switchgear technology. These are now complete, and discussions are in progress to reach agreement on detailed arrangements. I hope that it may prove possible to start at least one prototype course in the next academic year.
