HC Deb 11 April 1967 vol 744 c172W
Mr. Jopling

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that it is possible for firms in overseas countries to sell antibiotics, which are restricted by the Therapeutic Substances Act, direct to private persons in the United Kingdom, without contravening United Kingdom laws; and what action he will take to prevent this.

Mr. K. Robinson

Whether such sales contravene the provisions of the Therapeutic Substances Act, 1956, depends on the particular antibiotics and on the circumstances of sale or supply. If the hon. Member will give me particulars I shall be glad to look into the matter.
