HC Deb 11 April 1967 vol 744 c180W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the growing importance of the tourist industry in west and north-west Wales, she will reconsider her decision to allow the closure of the Dovey Junction to Pwllheli railway line.

Mr. John Morris

My right hon. Friend has taken no decision on the closure of the line from Dovey Junction to Pwllheli: unless and until the Railways Board decides to proceed with publication of a closure proposal under Section 56 of the 1962 Transport Act and such a proposal is opposed, there can be no question of her having to take a decision in the matter.
