asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what administrative or other measures have been taken to prepare for the introduction of a decimal currency system in anticipation of parliamentary approval.

The preliminary work and planning which must be done if we are to decimalise in 1971.

47. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what evidence the members of the Halsbury Committee received in favour of the proposition, which he has accepted, that there is a widespread support for the introduction of a pound unit of decimal currency.
