Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Minister of Technology if he will now seek to insert a clause into all Government contracts with the aircraft industry permitting contracts to be renegotiated.

Mr. Ellis

asked the Minister of Technology what departmental action he proposes to take in order to prevent cases of overpayment on Government contracts to the aviation industry, as shown by the repayment to Her Majesty's Government of £3.96 million by Bristol Siddeley Engines Limited.

Mr. Benn

I am considering these and other aspects of contract policy to see whether changes need to be made.
