asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government when a Welsh National Parks Commission will be established.

I have been asked to reply.

I think that the interests of Wales are at present well served by participation in the National Parks Commission. The Government's intentions in regard to the Commission were set out in the White Paper "Leisure in the Countryside" (Cmnd. 2928).
