HC Deb 29 November 1966 vol 737 c57W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what acreages of common land in Wales including Monmouthshire, still subject to Rights of Commons, are under the control of the Crown Estates Commissioners and should be registered under Section 23 of the Commons Registration Act, 1965.

Mr. MacDermot

It is the Crown Estate Commissioners' intention to register under the Act the Crown's ownership of the Wastes of the Crown Manors in Wales which extend to approximately 76,000 acres. Any persons who consider themselves entitled to common rights over such land should register such rights themselves.
