HC Deb 29 November 1966 vol 737 c70W
100. Mr. Molloy

asked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs what steps are envisaged to maintain constant liaison between trades unions, employers' associations and Her Majesty's Government during the period of severe restraint.

Mr. Albu

The White Paper on the Period of Severe Restraint, Cmnd. 3150 makes it clear that it is the aim of the Government to consult with the Confederation of British Industry and the Trades Union Congress to secure the effective and consistent application of the severe restraint criteria. The Government will also consult with individual employers' associations, trade associations and trade unions in appropriate cases.
