HC Deb 29 November 1966 vol 737 c69W
Captain Kerby

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what was the cost of the damage to Her Majesty's Government's property in Miami during recent incidents there; and what under-taking he has sought from the United States Government to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents.

Mr. Padley

No damage to Her Majesty's Government's property resulted from recent incidents in Miami. Local authorities in the city co-operated fully with Her Majesty's Consul in keeping. demonstrators away from the consular premises. It has not therefore been necessary to seek special undertakings from the United States Government.
